FEATURES OF THE SS30B INFRARED SENSOR SWITCH

The SS30B is a highly sensitive recessed ceiling infrared sensor switch. It can detect body-heat movement from people and animals at approximately 36–37°C. Its compact and attractive design is suitable for recessed installation in plaster ceilings. In particular, the sensor eye can be rotated toward the required detection areas, helping limit detection toward unnecessary directions or areas.

When body-heat movement is detected within the sensing area, the light switch automatically turns ON. In addition, it also has a light sensor to measure the brightness of the surrounding environment. If the user adjusts the LUX knob to the nighttime setting, the sensor will stop detecting body-heat movement when there is sufficient ambient light. This function allows the sensor to operate fully automatically. Users do not need to turn off the switch during the daytime when there is enough natural light in areas such as staircases, balconies, hallways, and yards, because the sensor automatically detects the ambient light level. Only when the environment is dark will it activate the infrared sensing function.

In addition, the SS30B motion sensor switch also has a TIME knob for adjusting the delay time. When no one is moving within the sensing area, the countdown begins and the light automatically turns OFF. If someone continues moving within the sensing area during the set delay time, the switch will remain ON. This helps maintain the necessary lighting while users are present, especially in commercial areas such as showrooms, waiting rooms, garages, parking areas, and more.

• For outdoor hallways, choose the SS782 infrared sensor. The RS05B microwave sensor can also be used because it provides excellent moisture resistance.
