WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF THE D28B-U WIRELESS PIR VISITOR SENSOR?

The D28B-U visitor sensor is commonly used together with Kawasan wireless visitor chimes such as the i618A or i618A-R. When supplied separately, this sensor is identified by the model code D28B-U. End users may not always notice or distinguish this separate accessory model code. The D28B-U uses passive infrared sensing technology to detect human body heat and movement. It can be powered by 3 AAA batteries or by a 5V mobile phone charger through a Micro USB connection. This allows users to reuse a standard phone charger as the power source and helps reduce battery replacement costs, especially in frequently used applications.

WHAT ARE THE APPLICATIONS OF THE D28B-U WIRELESS PIR SENSOR?

1. The sensor can be paired with compatible Kawasan wireless door chimes such as DB667, DB668B, and DB669. Once paired to operate on the same frequency, these wireless door chimes can function as PIR-based visitor chimes. Pairing instructions are printed on the rear of the product.

2. In addition, the D28B-U intruder alarm can be integrated with wireless alarm control panels operating on RF433MHz. When an intrusion is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the central alarm system, which can then notify the user by phone for timely response.

3. He D28B-U can also be integrated with RF15BT or RF01DT remote-control switches to create a wireless alarm siren system. The RF15BT and RF01DT support switch activation and countdown auto-off timing from 3 seconds to 24 hours, depending on the selected setting. In this configuration, the D28B-U detects human movement and transmits an RF signal to the RF15BT / RF01DT, which then switches ON and supplies power to a 220V wired siren. The siren power rating can be selected according to system requirements. A countdown setting of approximately 5 or 10 seconds is generally suitable for automatically switching the siren OFF.

BENEFITS OF USING THE PIR SENSOR

• The device can operate on batteries or from a 5V mobile phone charger, providing flexible power options and reducing the need for frequent battery replacement.
• No complicated wiring is required between the sensor and the chime receiver or central alarm panel, helping maintain a neat installation.
• High PIR detection sensitivity with reduced false alarms helps improve convenience and prevents repeated unnecessary warnings.
• Product service life of more than 5 years helps reduce replacement costs. Specifications printed in Vietnamese also make the device easier for local users to operate.
• Effective for anti-theft applications: when installed at a balcony or main entrance, the sensor detects a person and transmits a signal to the chime receiver or alarm system, helping provide timely intrusion warning.

SOME APPLICATIONS OF THE D28B-U WIRELESS VISITOR SENSOR

The D28B-U is commonly integrated into Kawasan wireless visitor chime systems such as I287A, I287B, I618A, and I618A-R. Typical applications include:

• Showrooms, retail stores, fashion shops, cosmetics stores, and similar locations

• Hotels, villas, offices, and similar facilities

• Residential applications, including gates and balconies for use as an anti-theft sensor

• D28 sensor uses AAA batteries, battery life 1–3 months depending on usage level and battery type
• Detection Range: 2–6m (<30°C); 2–4m (>30°C)
• Compatible with many chime types using the same RF433MHz frequency
• Wireless Transmission Range from sensor to chime: 20–30m with obstacles, 30–100m without obstacles
• Signal transmission can pass through obstacles such as glass, wood and thin walls
• Easy to move, install and maintain. Used to detect human movement and send alerts to the control center. Can use 5V power from a phone charger via micro USB port, reducing the need for frequent battery replacement
