PS06-Pro Surface-Mounted Ceiling Presence Sensor Switch

1. Product Introduction

PS06-Pro is KAWASAN’s new-generation presence sensor, using a ombination of infrared sensing (PIR) and 24GHz presence radar to detect movement and human presence through breathing and heartbeat signals.

Unlike conventional presence sensors that can easily be triggered through glass doors, wooden partitions, or thin walls, the PS06-Pro completely overcomes unwanted light activation thanks to its smart 2-step mechanism:

• Step 1: PIR activates when a person enters → turns on the light/fan.
• Step 2: The 24GHz radar takes over and continuously maintains the lighting by detecting heartbeat and breathing → the light does not turn off when the person remains still.

Thanks to this mechanism, the PS06-Pro is suitable for enclosed rooms and areas with doors near hallways, ensuring that the light does not turn on when someone walks outside while still maintaining extremely high sensitivity when someone is inside.

3. Outstanding Features

Dual PIR + 24GHz Radar Technology

PS06-Pro uses PIR for initial activation, then switches to 24GHz radar to detect static presence → the light does not turn off when a person is standing still or lying down..

No Activation Through Walls – Reduced False Triggers

The initial PIR activation mechanism helps the device avoid detecting movement outside the roomovercoming the limitations of conventional presence/microwave sensors.

Day/Night Detection

The LUX knob allows users to select:

• Operates only at night (<3 LUX)
• Or operates all day (sun icon)

Flexible Sensitivity Adjustment (SENS)

• “+” → wide 6m range (large rooms)
• “–” → narrow 2m range (small rooms)

Automatic Time-Delay Reset

If new movement is detected during the waiting period, the sensor automatically resets the time delay → helping the device operate stably.

Low Power Consumption – Device Protection

Anti-interference and water-resistant design, suitable for humid environments such as bathrooms.

4. Applications

PS06-Pro is optimized for spaces that require both false-trigger prevention and continuous lighting when someone is present, especially:

• Household / hotel bathrooms
• Hallways and walkways near entrances

• Bedrooms (keep the mechanical switch for use while sleeping)

• Meeting rooms, waiting rooms
• Offices and stores
• Areas with glass doors or thin walls near outdoor spaces

PS06-Pro ensures:

• Does not turn on the light when someone walks outside the hallway.
• The light does not turn off when a person remains seated while working, studying, or reading

Special Application: Can be installed for air conditioners (with an additional KWC1-25A mini contactor) in children’s rooms, meeting rooms, bedrooms, hotel rooms, and offices. When no one is in the room, the air conditioner will turn off after 10 minutes. This helps prevent electricity waste caused by forgetting to turn off the air conditioner (each air conditioner can save approximately VND 300,000–500,000/month).

Note: For Inverter air conditioners, turning the unit ON/OFF does not increase electricity costs or affect the lifespan of the air conditioner. When using the sensor with an air conditioner, keep the air conditioner in ON mode so that it automatically starts when power is supplied, without needing to restart it using the air conditioner remote control.
