WHAT MAKES THE KAWASAN REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH DIFFERENT?
The KAWASAN RF18A-RM2D High-Power Remote Control Switch is specially designed for remote control applications such as agricultural irrigation pumps used in coffee plantations, pepper farms, and orchid gardens. The device supports direct control of pumps up to 3 HP and uses an isolated switching power supply with an operating voltage of 110–240V, 50–60Hz and a current rating of 25A. The components used in the device are high-quality parts sourced from well-known manufacturers around the world. It also integrates EMC electromagnetic interference protection, helping prevent accidental switching caused by electromagnetic interference or RF interference from factories and other industrial environments. The device provides good signal transmission through common obstacles such as glass, wood, thin walls, and concrete. The RF18A-RM2D Remote Control Switch features a long external antenna to improve signal reception and extend the remote control range to approximately 500–1000m. The device can also be paired with different types of compatible remote controls operating on the same 433MHz RF frequency. It supports up to 5 remote controls, allowing multiple family members or users to share control when needed.
HOW CAN THE REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH BE USED?
The RF18A-RM2D High-Power Remote Control Switch can be used to control irrigation pump systems for fruit gardens, coffee plantations, and fish pond aeration systems. It allows users to conveniently turn pumps on or off from a distance without having to travel repeatedly to the equipment location, providing more time for other tasks and helping reduce labor costs.

FACTORS THAT AFFECT REMOTE CONTROL RANGE
-
Obstacles
Physical obstacles and terrain such as hills, high-rise buildings, basements, bridges, and other structures can affect the remote control range. Materials and obstacles that strongly absorb electromagnetic waves can significantly reduce the effective transmission distance.
-
RF Environment
The fewer radio-frequency signals and sources of interference in the surrounding environment, the longer the effective control range can be. Therefore, the control range in densely populated urban areas may be shorter than in rural areas where RF interference is generally lower.
-
Antenna Orientation
Many users assume that pointing the remote control directly toward the receiver will provide the longest control range. However, this is not always the case. A common type of remote antenna is the telescopic rod antenna. Its strongest radiation is generally emitted in directions perpendicular to the antenna. Therefore, when operating the remote from a long distance, holding the remote with the antenna in a vertical position while pressing the button may provide better transmission performance than pointing the antenna directly toward the receiver or relay.
