***Use a cover to cover the sensing corner of unnecessary areas or use scissors to cut off the plastic corner cover to increase the sensing angle.

HOW TO CONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY CORD TO THE DEVICE:

Connect the power cord and load for the sensor as in the diagram above: N and L go to the 220v power source, N and L' go to the light/exhaust fan.

SOME COMMON PROBLEMS AND HOW TO FIX THEM

​How many light bulbs can this infrared sensor install and what capacity?

• Most of Kawasan's infrared sensors produce a usable capacity of <150w (LED), so many bulbs can be installed in parallel and the total combined capacity cannot exceed 150W. However, if you want to produce lights with higher capacity, you need to install an intermediate relay or a magnetic starter to withstand a larger load.

• Mostly because the LUX level is too low, and when the light needs to be turned on, the brightness at the place where the light bulb is installed is illuminated by outside light or light from other lights, causing the sensor to see that the environment is still bright so it does not work.
  1. Check whether the power source in or out of the light bulb connected to the sensor has power in or out!
  2. Check to see if the Lux level is too low. Adjust it to 20% to 50% to try again.

Why is the sensing distance close and the sensitivity not high?

There are 2 causes of decreased sensitivity:

• Due to the direction of movement of body heat: the direction of movement of body temperature is not perpendicular to the location of the sensor. For infrared sensors, the direction of movement needs to have an angle of 200 - 900 to promote sensitivity and distance. . If moved, because if moved face-to-face, parallel to the sensor, the sensitivity will be limited.

• High ambient temperature >320C: The sensitivity of the infrared sensor is affected by the environmental temperature. The higher the temperature, the more the sensitivity is reduced. Distance 8-10m (if temperature <24 degrees Celsius), 4-6m (<30 degrees Celsius)…

If you need high sensitivity and are not affected by environmental temperature, you need to use Microwave Touch Switch, RS05B (with similar features and structure to SS786).

Why does the light installed on the sensor keep turning on and not turning off?

• Mostly due to people constantly passing by or moving objects such as strong drafts, continuously turned on exhaust fans, curtains, trees, microwaves emitting heat or the ambient temperature is too high > 35 degrees Celsius
• Or adjust the delay time too long

Solution:

• Adjust the delay time to shorter, take the minimum mark of 15 seconds to check again, if the light is off, you should adjust it to about 2-3 minutes.
• Check to see if there are any of the above influencing factors in the sensor area?
• Check to see if the sensor is installed near high-frequency transmitters, wifi, induction cookers, water pump motors, curtains, trees or exhaust fans, or strong drafts!
