Description

WHAT IS A WATER LEAK ALARM?

A water leak alarm, also known as a water leak sensor, water overflow sensor, or anti-overflow sensor, is used to monitor water levels and alert users when the water rises beyond the permitted level and requires immediate attention.

The WA01 is equipped with a built-in 110dB siren that activates when water leakage or overflow is detected. In addition, the device can be connected to Kawasan AL27 or AL21 wireless alarm sirens, or integrated with a central alarm system via RF433MHz wireless communication.

When a water tank overflows due to a faulty electric float switch or a malfunctioning water level sensor, water may spill onto the floor. In this situation, the WA01 water overflow alarm acts as an on-site monitoring device and immediately activates its built-in siren. The Alarm alerts occupants so that they can respond promptly, helping reduce damage to household property and avoid unnecessary water and pumping electricity costs.

OUTSTANDING FEATURES OF THE WA01 WATER LEAK SENSOR

• Water overflow sensor with fully wireless connection to compatible alarm sirens or central alarm systems via RF433MHz. Its compact and simple design makes it highly practical for detecting water overflow.

•  The sensing probe is made of stainless steel for improved corrosion resistance.
• High alarm sound level of 110dB with an alarm cycle lasting up to 120 seconds, helping ensure that users can clearly hear the warning while indoors.
• High sensitivity and fast response for accurate water leak detection.
• Powered by 2 AAA batteries with a battery life of more than 6 months. The battery compartment is designed for easy replacement and installation.
• Can be integrated with various Kawasan RF433MHz devices, including the I227B standalone alarm and SIM/WiFi central alarm systems such as 261 WiFi SIM and 262T WiFi SIM Line. Wireless transmission range is approximately 50–100m, depending on obstacles and surrounding RF conditions.

APPLICATIONS OF THE WA01 WATER OVERFLOW SENSOR

1. 1. Water tank overflow alarm for homes, offices, hotels, factories, and other facilities

When an electric or mechanical float switch fails, the water pump may continue operating even after the tank is full. This can cause water to overflow onto the roof or floor, resulting in water waste and potential damage to property.

2. 2. Flood warning for homes, factories, and other facilities located near rivers or flood-prone areas

During flood season, river levels may rise unpredictably. This can be particularly dangerous at night when occupants are asleep and may not notice water entering the building. Floodwater can damage electrical equipment and may create a risk of electrical short circuits.

3. Water overflow alarm for aquaculture ponds and tanks

During heavy rain, water levels in fish or shrimp ponds may rise significantly, allowing aquatic animals to escape and causing substantial losses to farmers.

4. Overflow alarm for reservoirs and wastewater treatment tanks

Wastewater storage tanks may overflow due to issues such as malfunctioning pump timers or faulty water level sensors. Overflow can contaminate the surrounding environment and cause damage to nearby equipment or property.
